| TYPE
OF INK - These types of inks are used to give a pearl
effect over a dark background. This type of ink enhances the
Print quality. |
| APPLICATION
- On paper, board, rigid PVC, treated polyester. |
|
THINNERS
- Upto 20% UV thinners, uvv135 can be added.
|
| DRYING
- By exposure to UV high pressure mercury vapor lamps. |
|
DRYING
TIME - By using a two lamp machine at full power, belt
speeds upto 25 metres per minute can be achieved.
|
|
ADHESION
- Good to paper, board and screen printed material. Test
proofs should be carried out when overprinting offset litho
prints. Owing to the many various grades of plastic, substrates
available test proofs should be carried out before proceeding
with the actual print run.
|
| MESH
- Depends on the size of pearl between 110 T to 140 T. |
| COVERAGE
- Between 45 square metres or 60 square metres depending
on the mesh used. |
| STENCILS
- Where direct emulsion systems are being used the number
of coatings should be kept to a minimum. This will ensure
that the thinnest stencil film is obtained, and this will
give low ink deposits especially in fine detail areas. Where
indirect stencil systems are to be employed use one of those
now on the market which have been specially designed for UV
printing. |
| CLEANING
THE SCREEN - Screenwash should be used for washing up.
As the inks have excellent screen stability, screens should
only require washing up at the end of the run. Screens can
be left overnight provided they are protected from direct
sunlight and covered up to prevent dust contamination. |
| SHELF
LIFE -Maximum of six months. |
